What is PVC and why does preparation matter?
PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is available in rigid and flexible formulations. Flexible, clear or coloured PVC is often used for bags, covers and protective items.
In screen printing, the result depends on the relationship between the surface, the ink and the end use. Thickness, flexibility, transparency, finish and surface condition influence preparation. A substrate sample is therefore the safest way to assess a project.
HOW IT WORKS
From artwork to print.
In screen printing, a squeegee pushes ink through the open areas of a prepared screen. Each colour is handled separately, requiring alignment between the artwork, item and substrate.
